Scope of Policy

The policy covers the Admission process and eligibility criteria for all UG, PG and Ph.D. Programs that are offered by the University. It offers clear advice and guidance for prospective applicants enabling them with informed choices thereby facilitating them to apply for Programs appropriate to their interests, Academic qualifications and potential.

Conduct for Students
  • For Undergraduate (UG) Programs [B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, B.Pharmacy & Pharma-D)], candidates must have successfully completed their Intermediate / 10+2 as recognized by the State Government (or) an equivalent examination in relevant discipline.
  • For Postgraduate (PG) Programs [M.Tech, MBA, MCA, M.Pharmacy & M.Sc], candidates must have successfully completed their UG degree or an equivalent examination in the relevant discipline.
  • For Ph.D. Programs, candidates must have successfully completed their Postgraduate Degree or an equivalent Examination in the relevant field. Additionally, the admissibility of pertinent multidisciplinary Degrees necessitates prior approval from the Board of Management.
  • Candidates must have achieved a minimum score of 60% for Admission into B.Tech. and Pharmacy Programs and 55 % for Admission into BBA, BCA & B.Sc programs. A minimum of 60% in the qualifying exam is mandatory for Admission into all PG Programs.
  • Candidates seeking Admission into Ph.D Programs need to fulfill the following with respect to the Qualifying Degree.
    • Ph.D in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Management Studies and Computer Applications: - Minimum 55% in the relevant PG or equivalent.
    • Ph.D in all Engineering Disciplines: - Minimum 60% in the relevant PG or equivalent.
  • Foreign and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) students are eligible to enroll in the University's Programs if they meet the necessary eligibility criteria according to the University's rules and regulations.
Admission Procedure
Conduct for Students
  • As per State Private University Act 2016, a part of Student Intake in all programs (UG & PG) comes under Convenor Quota. Under this Quota, students seeking Admission into B.Tech. programs are admitted via EAPCET, students seeking Admission into M.Tech programs are brought in via PGECET and students opting for PG Programs like MBA & MCA are admitted via ICET. All these Entrance Examinations are conducted and governed by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE).

    The remaining part of the intake falls under Management Quota, for which the Admission Procedure is as follows.

    • Student Admissions are carried out based on merit determined either through a Common Entrance Test “Aditya’s Scholastic Aptitude Test” (ASAT) conducted by Aditya University or competitive examinations administered by National Bodies such as JEE, EAPCET, APECET, PGECET, GATE, ICET, CAT, GMAT and NET.
    • Meritorious students are offered Scholarships based on their score at Intermediate/+2 level and on the score achieved via various Entrance Tests mentioned above, the details are tabulated below.
  • Admissions into Ph.D Programs are carried out purely on merit by shortlisting candidates based on the performance in a National level test and personal.
  • Admission and enrolment of students at the University shall be regulated in the manner as mentioned below:
    • The procedure of Admission shall be approved by the Board of Management from time to time and shall be published in the prospectus.
    • The University will publish an Admission advertisement in national /local newspapers and / or other media and upload a detailed Admission Notification on the University website. The Admission notification shall clearly specify the Admission/enrolment criteria for each program as prescribed by the University.
    • All the Admissions shall be made by the Registrar / Dean of Admissions / and Admission Committee constituted for the said purpose as per the eligibility conditions prescribed for the Programs offered by the University.
    • The candidates seeking Admission into a Program of study in the University must fulfill the laid down eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualifications, age restrictions or any other conditions as may be prescribed for it and published in the prospectus from time to time.
    • The maximum number of seats on each Program shall be determined by the Board of Management from time to time.
    • No candidate shall be entitled to claim Admission as a matter of right.
    • At the time of Admission, every student shall be required to sign a declaration to the effect that he/she submits himself/herself to the disciplinary jurisdiction and rules of the University.
Restrictions on Admission on certain grounds
Conduct for Students
  • No student shall be admitted in two regular Programs concurrently within or outside the University except that a student pursuing a UG/PG/Ph.D program in the University, may be permitted to take Admission in a part-time Certificate/ Diploma / Advanced Diploma Programs or in a Program under the ‘Distance Learning Mode’ approved by the UGC; provided further that the student shall have to obtain prior permission of the University for taking Admission in the additional Programs under the ‘Distance Mode’.
  • Unless otherwise provided, a student may enroll in part-time Programs provided he/she fulfills the eligibility requirements as per procedure laid down for the purpose.
  • A student who has completed an Undergraduate / Postgraduate / Certificate Program shall not be allowed to be admitted again to the same Program in the same discipline.
  • Anyone who has been suspended/rusticated/debarred/expelled by a competent authority of the University shall be prohibited from claiming Admission to any Program whatsoever. Similarly, no person, who is under sentence or expulsion or rustication from another Institution/University, shall be admitted to any Program of study during the period for which the sentence is in operation.
  • Admission to any Program at the University can be cancelled, at any time, if any material information furnished by the student is found to be false /incorrect.
  • If the student discontinues from the Program due to personal problems / health problems, he/she needs to clear the fees up to the current semester from which he/she is discontinuing.
  • The Governing Body shall be the authoritative body for offering Admission to any student, including those pursuing research into various Programs of study, in compliance with the guidelines framed in this regard from time to time by the University.
