Department of Mining Engineering
Established in 2014, the Department of Mining Engineering offers a comprehensive and industry-aligned B. Tech in Mining Engineering and Ph. D in Mining Engineering programs.
The curriculum is structured to build a strong foundation in core mining and allied disciplines, supported by state-of-the-art laboratories in Mineral Processing, Mine Environmental Engineering, Rock Mechanics, Geology, and Mine Surveying, as well as advanced computational facilities. Curriculum design is continuously refined through inputs from experts representing IIT’s, NIT’s, and leading industrial organizations, ensuring academic relevance and compliance with current professional standards.
The department provides specialized GATE coaching and workshops focusing on conceptual clarity, analytical aptitude, and examination strategies. Its alumni are well-placed in reputed organizations such as Coal India Limited, NTPC, SCCL, and Tata Steel etc.
Promoting holistic learning, the department integrates industrial visits, internships, research projects, seminars, and technical events. Active engagement with distinguished alumni and industry professionals bridges the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, preparing students for successful professional careers.
